Invoice2go is an invoicing and payment-management service for small businesses that need to create estimates, send invoices, track payment status and accept supported online payments. This independent guide is not affiliated with Invoice2go or BILL.
Existing users can sign in through the Invoice2go account page with the email connected to their account. New-device and web logins may also require a six-digit verification code delivered by email.
What Invoice2go Is Used For
Invoice2go provides web and mobile tools for creating professional invoices and estimates, organizing clients and items, recording expenses, reviewing reports and connecting supported payment services. It is described by the company as part of BILL’s product family.
The primary job is simple: send a customer a clear invoice and keep its payment record accurate.
That job has several parts. A business may need to create the invoice, request a deposit, enable online payments, schedule reminders, record an offline payment or trace when an online payment will reach its bank. Treat those as separate actions rather than one generic “invoice problem.”
Start with the invoice status. Skip payment troubleshooting until you know whether the document was merely created, actually sent, opened by the customer or already marked paid.
How to Log In to Invoice2go
The official Invoice2go login screen includes Email, Password and Forgot password? fields. Users can also access their accounts through the mobile application, including through a linked Google or Apple account when that sign-in method was previously connected.
For web access, Invoice2go documents this sequence:
- Open the Invoice2go login page.
- Enter the account email.
- Enter the account password.
- Retrieve the six-digit verification code sent by email.
- Enter it in the Verification code field.
- Optionally select Remember this device.
- Select Confirm.
Use Remember this device only on a computer controlled by the business or authorized user. Skip it on shared or public equipment.
A login attempt can fail even when the password is correct. The verification message may be delayed, filtered into junk mail or sent to an older account email. Invoice2go’s troubleshooting instructions tell users to identify the displayed error, check the email inbox and inspect spam or junk folders when an account is blocked or inaccessible.
Why Invoice2go Login May Not Work
A wrong password is only one possibility.
Invoice2go access problems can involve an account block, a missing verification message, use of an email that is not connected to the account or a temporary service issue. The company has previously posted incident notices when application login problems affected users, so a widespread fault should be distinguished from one person’s account issue.
Do this first: read the exact error shown on the screen. Skip repeated guesses.
When the login page accepts the email and password but asks for verification, the account has reached an additional security step rather than necessarily failing. Check the inbox associated with the account, including filtered folders, and use the current code.
When no recovery message arrives, confirm that the business is using the same email originally registered with Invoice2go. The signup documentation says that address is used for account updates, payment information and exported data.
Invoice2go’s terms also place responsibility on users to keep login credentials confidential and prevent unauthorized access.
Creating and Sending an Invoice
Invoice2go’s invoice workflow allows a business to select a client, add products or services, adjust quantities and rates, apply a discount and set payment details. Depending on the plan and account configuration, the preview and management screen can also offer recurring invoices, reminders, deposit requests and online payment settings.
The documented invoice screen includes several concrete controls:
- Item Name for adding or searching saved items
- Discount for a fixed amount or percentage
- payment instructions below the due date
- Deposit Request for a percentage or fixed amount
- online-payment settings
- reminder options
Online payments must be enabled before a deposit request can be added. The deposit can also be applied to future invoices through the corresponding toggle in the creation workflow.
After reviewing the document in the web application, the merchant can open the Send tab. Invoice2go says invoices sent from its web app are delivered from invoice2go@communications.2go.com.
Check the customer address and due date first. Skip sending a revised copy until the business confirms whether the original has already been paid.
How Customers Pay an Invoice Online
When online payments are enabled, an invoice includes a Pay now option. Selecting it takes the customer to Invoice2go’s hosted payment portal, where the available method depends on the merchant’s payment configuration.
Invoice2go supports multiple payment routes, and both fees and deposit timing vary by method. Its help material separates options such as Invoice2go Money card payments, ACH transfers, Stripe and PayPal.
That variation matters.
A merchant should not promise one funding date for every invoice. Card payments through Invoice2go Money are generally described as taking one to three business days to become available in the external bank account. ACH client payments typically require several business days to clear, followed by additional transfer time when funds are moved to an external bank.
Stripe timing follows a different schedule. Invoice2go says later Stripe payments can take roughly two to seven business days depending on location, and the processing date may differ from the local charge date because Stripe processes Invoice2go payments in UTC.
Processing also varies by region and banking calendar.
Payment Times and ACH Cutoffs
Invoice2go’s current banking guidance says ACH transactions use a 3:00 p.m. Eastern cutoff. Activity submitted after that time is processed on the following business day, while weekends and bank holidays are excluded.
For Invoice2go Money ACH payments, client debits commonly remain pending while they clear. The company’s help pages currently describe a typical clearing period of roughly two to three business days, with another one to two business days commonly needed for a payout to reach an external bank after the money becomes available.
These are processing ranges, not promises.
Check the payment method and status first. Skip comparing an ACH payment with the timing of a card payment or PayPal transaction.
The final appearance of a payout can also depend on the recipient bank’s own posting schedule.
Payment Reminders and Overdue Invoices
Invoice2go enables automatic payment reminders by default. Its published schedule sends reminders three days before the due date, on the due date, three days after it and seven days after it, provided the invoice has not been fully paid.
Merchants can change the reminder frequency or turn reminders off at the account level. On the web, the documented route is:
Company name → Account & settings → Client communication → Reminders.
The Send me a preview option lets the merchant review the reminder before relying on it. Reminders can also be disabled for one invoice from its Preview or Send tab by clearing Send payment reminders under payment options.
Review reminder settings before chasing a customer manually. Otherwise, a customer may receive an automatic message and a separate personal follow-up on the same day.
Marking an Invoice as Paid
Invoice2go automatically moves an invoice to the paid section when the customer pays the full amount through a supported online-payment method. A business can also record a payment manually when money was received another way.
On the web, the merchant opens the invoice, chooses Preview or Send, selects Add payment, turns on Mark as fully paid, enters the method and payment date, and can choose Send receipt. The payment then appears in View transaction history.
This is a bookkeeping action. It does not move money.
Do not manually mark an invoice paid merely because a customer says a transfer was sent. Confirm receipt through the relevant payment or bank record first.
If an invoice was marked paid by mistake, Invoice2go says the added payment can be removed from the invoice’s transaction history.
Refunds Depend on the Payment Method
Refund procedures are not universal.
Invoice2go Money card-payment refunds are initiated from the paid invoice’s payment history and routed to support. Invoice2go says sufficient funds may be required in the Invoice2go Money account before the refund can be processed.
PayPal payments follow a separate route. Invoice2go says a PayPal refund can be issued through the application or directly through the connected PayPal account.
Prioritize the original payment record. Skip creating a negative invoice or marking another document paid to offset the transaction.
For card handling, the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is the relevant industry security standard. Invoice2go’s own payment guidance states that businesses accepting online card payments have PCI DSS obligations.
Managing or Cancelling a Subscription
On the web, Invoice2go documents the subscription route as:
Company name → Account & settings → Manage subscription.
From that area, eligible users can update the subscription payment method or select Cancel subscription and follow the displayed prompts. Invoice2go says a confirmation is provided and the subscription expires at the end of the next billing cycle.
Cancellation and permanent account deletion are different.
Before requesting deletion, Invoice2go recommends exporting any company data that may be needed later. Its account-support section includes separate options for subscription management, company-data export and permanent deletion.
Export first. Delete second.

When online payments are enabled, the invoice displays Pay now, which opens Invoice2go’s hosted payment portal. The available options depend on the merchant’s payment settings.
How long does Invoice2go take to deposit money?
It depends on the payment method. Invoice2go Money card payments are commonly listed at one to three business days, while ACH payments involve a clearing period and an additional external-bank transfer period. Stripe and PayPal follow their own schedules.
Does Invoice2go send overdue reminders?
Yes. Automatic reminders are enabled by default and can be changed globally or turned off for a specific invoice.
Can I mark a cash or check payment as paid?
Yes. A merchant can manually add the payment method, date and note to an invoice and optionally send a receipt.
